This article will detail the “Images not servable: Image URL is not valid” error message and how to remedy it.
If you’ve received this message, it means that the URL for the image(s) within a VDP is either broken, missing, or invalid. To remedy this, here are the steps outlined based upon the specific data collection method.
- Site Scrape - The VDPs MUST have an image of the vehicle being listed. “Photo Coming Soon” will be rejected by Google. Please make sure the image being supplied matches that of the vehicle being listed. Also, stock vehicle images will cause errors if the same image file is used over and over for VDPs. All vehicle images must have a unique filename.
- FTP - The URL provided in the “IMAGE_LINK” column in the .csv file must be a valid URL that links to the images of the specific vehicle being listed. “Photo Coming Soon” will be rejected by Google. Please make sure the image being supplied matches that of the vehicle being listed. Also, stock vehicle images will cause errors if the same image file is used over and over for VDPs.
