How do I fix the “Business Profile is already claimed by another partner” error?

This article will detail how to reclaim your Business Profile if you receive the “Business Profile is already claimed by another partner” error message.

Recently, other data providers have created data feeds and published them to Google without dealers' permission or consent.

This means is that another entity is taking data and producing their own feed, then providing that data to Google, most often without a dealer or agency being aware.

If you are receiving this error, the steps in which to remedy it will be outlined below and are per Google’s instructions directly:

“We ask that dealers directly contact us through the Google My Business “send feedback” button (instructions on how to access here) should they wish to change their data provider or opt-out of cars for sale on their Business Profile. The content of the feedback should include the term “cars for sale,” so that the request can be appropriately routed to our team. Please note that it may take up to a few weeks to respond to requests.”

Note: dbaPlatform is the preferred data provider specified in the “send feedback” submission to Google through Google My Business. (If possible, but not mandatory).
