This article will review the steps required to set up the citation management service for your Google Business Profile.
Ensure the Location was Placed within a Group
1. Go to the "Locations" tab
2. Find the location you are trying to set up and ensure that it has a group name in the "Group" column
3. If it does not, select the "Create a Group" button and follow the instructions to place the location within a group
Ensure the Location has been Assigned the Appropriate License
4. Go to the "Manage Licenses" tab
5. Ensure the location has been assigned a Business Listings Standard license. If not, select the box under the "Business Listings Standard" column for the corresponding location
Lastly, Ensure the Location has been Fully Activated for the Citation Management Service
6. Go to the "Locations" tab
7. Proceed to the group that the location is located within
8. Select the "Local Listings" tab
9. And ensure all of the desired destinations are activated by having the toggle on. If Google is your source of truth, then Google will not be able to get turned on as a destination, as we will be pulling the location data from Google.
10. If the service has not yet been activated, you will see a "Sync Data" button. Please select this button and follow the instructions to activate the service.
