What is the Cache Saver?

Cache Saver is a Merchant Center protection tool designed to reduce wasted spend in Google Vehicle Listing Ads by continuously validating vehicle URLs.

If a vehicle is sold, a page breaks, or a URL fails validation, Cache Saver detects the issue and prevents ads from continuing to run against invalid listings—protecting performance and budget automatically.

Why This Matters

Invalid or broken vehicle URLs can quietly drain ad budgets and disrupt campaign performance. This typically occurs when:

  • Google caches broken URLs for up to 24 hours
  • Sold vehicles continue receiving ad traffic
  • Vehicle URLs change or fail to load
  • Inventory systems or websites throttle requests
  • Pages return errors during validation
  • Large inventories make manual monitoring impractical

Result: wasted spend, inconsistent performance, and time lost troubleshooting.

Key Benefits

  • Reduces wasted ad spend from invalid listings
  • Detects broken URLs faster than manual processes
  • Provides continuous protection with scheduled audits
  • Delivers clear, shareable reporting for internal teams and clients
  • Creates audit-ready accountability with timestamped validation data

How It Works

Cache Saver continuously audits vehicle listings within Merchant Center and flags URLs that fail validation.

You can choose between two modes:

  • Monitor Mode – Detects invalid URLs without taking action
  • Monitor & Delete – Automatically removes invalid listings to prevent continued ad spend

How to Use

  1. Navigate to Cache Saver within the platform
  2. Select your Merchant Center account
  3. Choose your mode (Monitor or Monitor & Delete)
  4. Set your audit frequency (one-time, hourly, daily, or weekly)
  5. Review results via the dashboard and audit reports
